One of the most detailed and expansive yoga teacher training courses available in the UK, teaching ASHTANGA traditional Indian Yoga. Course is suitable for yoga practitioners who have been practicing yoga for at least 2yrs.
School is registered and certified with YOGA ALLIANCE
Course includes:
-Insight into the eight steps of Ashtangha Yoga: Yama, Niyama, Asnana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyan, Samadhi
-The Yoga sutras of pantanjali
-Exploration of other key yogic texts ie. Hatha Yoga Pratipika, Yoga Vashishta, Sankha Yoga, Gheranda Samahitia and many more Ancient Yoga Scriptures
-Anatomy and physiology to understand benefits of yoga in modern science
-Structured practices given throughout the year for self development and greater understanding of yoga and yogic experiences.
-Full emphasis on understanding value of all aspect of yogic science in daily life to enable you to live a yogic healthy life style and teach the same to others through example.
-Course is delivered in Yoga Ashram setting as has been taught in India from Ancient Times
• 1 year course commitment:
• Attend one day workshop every month
• Attend two weekend retreats in the year and one yoga week
• Attend one yoga class per week
• Homework written and practice to complete monthly
• Potential students will be subject to interview prior to acceptance
