I have been practising yoga for more than 12 years.

I attended classes at Innergy Yoga Studio in West London for a number of years before moving to Bristol
nine years ago.

Over the years I have taken classes with a number of different teachers, experiencing different styles of
yoga particularly Asthanga and Iyengar Yoga.

I hold a 200 hour Yoga Alliance teaching certificate, qualifying in 2008 with Richard Schachtel, of the
Centre for Yoga Seattle, USA - Richard is a senior Iyengar Yoga teacher.

I qualified as an Iyengar Yoga Teacher in October 2010, training with senior Iyengar Yoga Teachers, Gerry
Chambers and Lynda Purvis at Yoga West in Bristol.

I hold regular weekly classes in Bristol on Thursday evenings for Beginners and Improvers.

Thursday 7.30-9pm General level - Wilder Street Studios - 27-29 Wilder Street, St Pauls, BS2.

Iyengar Yoga
I am, of course, inspired by the renowned teacher BKS Iyengar.

I teach precise alignment of asanas, using props such as blocks, bricks, belts and bolsters to help achieve this and to aid those who experience stiffness and a lack of flexibility. For the more experienceed student equipment can assist to work more deeply in a pose.

Yoga is not just asana (poses), it is a journey to wellbeing and I hope that I encourage people to start and progress on their journey.
