Trainee Yoga Teacher (TYT)

If you are training with a Yoga Alliance UK Training Provider you are eligible to become a Trainee Yoga Teacher in Yoga Alliance UK's National Yoga Registry.

Trainee Yoga Teachers who apply for the Yoga Alliance UK Group Insurance scheme are permitted to teach only a maximum of 2 classes per week.

Trainee Teachers (TYT) are NOT permitted to use any registered marks or logos.

 

What Will it Cost Me?

Pricing is simple:

Non RYS

(the school you are training with IS NOT registered with Yoga Alliance UK)

Yoga Alliance UK membership + insurance - £50.00 

Yoga Alliance UK membership + insurance - £60.00 - IRELAND

 

RYS

(the school you are training with IS registered with Yoga Alliance UK)

Yoga Alliance UK membership + insurance - £25.00

 Yoga Alliance UK membership + insurance - £35.00 - IRELAND

Do I Qualify to Apply?

There are two criteria by which you can register and become eligible to call yourself a Trainee Yoga Teacher and apply for Trainee Teacher Insurance:

  1. You are studying with a Yoga Alliance UK Training Provider Program, OR
  2. You are enrolled in a 200 hour training with a single teacher / institute.

 

If you are not completing your training with an Approved Training Provider you need to complete our Trainee Teacher Statement of Fact document.

As a Trainee Yoga Teacher you MUST specify in all advertising that they are only a Trainee Teacher and are not yet qualified. In addition you must notify your students AND the centre, studio, gym at which they are teaching that you are not yet qualified.
