The core of who he is today reflects the harmony of mind body and spirit within himself, As a life coach and motivational speaker, Dr. Howick guides students to unexplored levels of strength, health and well-being.

About the Dr. Bali Method (featured in Big Screen Movie "Planet Yoga")

Students will notice immediate improvements in flexibility, strength, and the ability to concentrate, relax, and deal with stress. It’s not about the poses. The growing body of scientific evidence confirms that Yoga and meditation help reduce low back pain, hypertension, asthma, and many other ailments. However these are all side-effects of the Dr. Bali method. The main aim of the method is to illicit the relaxation response – the body’s own ability to regenerate, rebuild, and regenerate itself.

Yoga is an empirical science. Just as science requires empirical (sensory) proof, your experience is the ultimate judge of whether Yoga in general – or this style – is ‘working’ for you. Initially, you will learn to observe your body and busy mind. Total relaxation will follow. In these increasingly deeper states of relaxation your body is free from stress and is able to regenerate and heal any damage due to stress (pollution, negative emotions, lack of sleep). Eventually the student will achieve states of complete detachment (‘samahdi’).

The 8 Stages of Yoga
1. Yama (moral commandments): non-violence, truth, non-stealing, continence, and non-covetousness.
2. Niyama (sefl-purification): purity, contentment, austerity, study, and surrender.
3. Asanas (postures)
4. Pranayama (breathing)
5. Pratyahara (drawing the senses inward)
6. Dharana (single-pointed concentration)
7. Dhyana (meditation)
8. Samadhi (nirvana)

The 8-week beginner course

The eight-week beginner yoga class is intended for those who are curious but have little or no experience with Yoga, or even experienced Yogis who would like to learn more about the fundamental stages and aspects of Yoga. Students will:
• learn the basic Dr. Bali method routine
• improve strength and flexibility
• learn about the eight stages of Yoga (Yama, Niyama, Asanas, Pranayama Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi)
• learn to manage stress and stress related problems – particularly psychosomatic conditions.
Each class builds on the previous one so students will benefit most if they attend the entire session.
Each one of the yoga classes focuses on asanas, pranayama, relaxation and meditation to experience new insights. You will experience yoga as the finest technology for healing and wellness.
The drop-in class (open to all levels, including intermediate and advanced)
While complete beginners are recommended to try the 8-week beginner class, drop-in Yoga classes are for all levels. Advanced, intermediate and beginner participants are guided to follow the routine where individuals can work to their own level. The classes run for 90 minutes and incorporate relaxation, asanas, pranayama and meditation. Students will:
• perform more challenging poses and breathing techniques,
• deepen their mindfulness during the class, work, and elsewhere,
• experience a heightened sense of strength, flexibility, and overall wellbeing.

Private Yoga Classes

Teacher to student is the traditional way to learn yoga. It is a great way to start as a beginner, who may find attending a group class daunting, private yoga classes allow the student to ask plenty of questions, and means there is little chance of injury. It is also great for an itermediate student who may have specific goals that he/she is working towards, or be best for someone with an injury or specific issues which makes attending a group class difficult. It is also ideal for someone with a very busy life, who may not find it convenient to get to a class, as private yoga classes are designed to fit around your scheduleDr. Howick will spend as long as you need on the phone to discuss what you'd like to achieve and how you'd like to achieve it. We will talk about what you need to nourish your body and mind, what you enjoy doing and any particular requirements.
You pay a flat rate of only £50 per hour, so whether you prefer a one-on-one or you want to share your class with family, friends or colleagues, the cost is the same regardless of location or group size.
There is no minimum time commitment, and you can always cancel an appointment without charge as long as you give twenty-four hours notice.
