Leslie has recently moved back to the UK,Brighton, after over 20 years living overseas-mainly in Asia (Tibet and Thailand) and Hawaii (Maui).
She is a long term yoga practitioner and her foremost yoga teachers are Eddie Modestini/Nicki Doane (Maya Yoga) -senior students of Pattabi Jois- with who she took her first teacher training in Hawaii (2003). She later certified in Chiang Mai,Thailand (Yoga Alliance RYT 2006) where she since taught regularly at the Yoga Studio, International School and burmese activists at a local NGO.
Also a professional artist trained in Tibetan Buddhist art, Leslie is familiar with the essence and benefits found in proper alignment. She emphasizes fusing these principles with those of self care and relaxation having as well worked in mental health.
Leslie's yoga class combines integrity of alignment and mindful self awareness which flow in a heart centered practice grounded in the celebration of our breath. She encourages " watering the seeds of practice with playfulness" to enjoy the ordinary/extraordinary present moment as it presents itself on the mat .
She is passionate about how the gifts of Yoga are accessible and can benefit all drawing on various traditions and styles (Iyengar,Ashtanga,Anusara,Yin Yoga) and recognizes yoga as a valuable tool towards greater well being, mental calm and joyful expansion.
