Mark FreethSenior Yoga Teacher (SYT) Birmingham England

I've been practicing yoga for 16 years and teaching full-time for 11. For most of that time, I've been an ashtanga vinyasa man, but over the last few years I've been experimenting and playing with the practice, and looking outside of the 'ashtanga box', especially after having been influenced by the Kula Yoga Project in NYC and Edward Clark of Tripsichore Yoga. I eventually founded 'The Freestyle Yoga Project', focusing on encouraging students to explore further what their bodies and minds are capable of without any particular alegience to one form of yoga or another. I considers my practice and teaching to be dymanic, vinyasa yoga, with special emphasis on vinyasa krama - the linking of breath & movement-related postures towards a particular end - whether it be handstands, leg-behind-head or that elusive jump-back/jump-thru. All of which leads to an informal, but challenging vibe from an experienced and inspirational instructor.
