Paula has been practising for over 15 years and teaching for 8 of those. Both she and David studied intensively from 2002 - 2006 with Lino Miele, before going to Mysore to practice directly with Sri K.Pattabhi Jois between 2005 and 2007. In total they have spent nearly a year in India studying Yoga.

They established Ashtanga Yoga Dublin in 2002 as a traditional Ashtanga Shala, and continue their Ashtanga studies now with Manju Jois and senior certified teacher Peter Sanson. Since 2008 both of these come annuallly to teach at Ashtanga Yoga Dublin.

With her husband, David Collins, she established Ashtanga Yoga Dublin in 2002 as a traditional Ashtanga Shala, and continues her Ashtanga studies now with Manju Jois and senior certified teacher Peter Sanson. Since 2008 both of these come annuallly to teach at Ashtanga Yoga Dublin.
Paula also studies Pranayama with Paul Dallaghan, who is certified by Sri O. P. Tiwari of Kaivayaldham, one of the few masters today teaching Pranayama practice with a classical technique, where the scientific outlook harmonises with traditional wisdom.
She is also a student of Vedic Chanting and Yoga Philosophy with Sanskrit Professor Dr. M. A. Jayashree and Prof M. A. Narasimhan of the Ananta Research Foundation, Mysore.
In addition, Paula is a qualified Energetic Massage Therapist and Polarity Therapist.
These latter qualifications give her a special interest and insight into Yoga Anatomy, both physical and subtle, which is a very important facet of her teaching.
