I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and my own practice has grown and changed over the years. Like life, I see yoga as a journey – we will encounter many teachers and students who will all change us and our approach to yoga.
I took my teacher training in India where the focus was on traditional practices – breathing, awareness and relaxation. While my own teaching style is influenced by the many styles I have practiced over the years, my hope with every class is that people leave the class more grounded and relaxed than when they entered.
Having been a contender in the “rat race” for many years, I know the benefits bringing yoga into your life can have. Apart from the physically and health benefits, it became a personal time for connecting with myself, and I want to be able to share this with not only my friend and family but with everyone in the community.
I love that yoga can mean so many things to so many people – I think there is room in the world for as many types of yoga as there are people!
