Nutritional Therapy / Nutritional support for Yoga
I trained in Vinyasa Flow Power Yoga - that follows the primary Ashtanga Vinyasa Series closely.
This type of yoga gives the body a full work out including cardiovascular, muscle toning, core strengthening and increases suppleness.

The linking of Asana’s or postures with the breath is what defines this type of yoga as Vinyasa. Vinyasas are taken in between a series of postures to ‘reset’ the body.

This kind of yoga creates fitness as well as reducing tension in the body and enables the participant to relax and arrive at stillness in the closing sequence, with a reward of utter bliss during the Savasana.

This yoga supports other physical exercise, but can also be a full body workout and regime without having to go to the gym.

If you are looking for an exercise regime that inspires stillness and really works to change fitness levels, posture, muscle strength and tone, this is the Yoga Style for you.

Yoga brings a more introspective view, focusing on the body
Instead of what’s going on around you and eventually as you become familiar with the sequences it can bring about a more meditative state. This can have a big impact on improving quality of life as it reduces the effects of stress and creates calm, which in turn can induce better sleep and better digestion.

I am a Practicing Nutritional Therapist with a passion for healthy food.
Yoga helps digestion and fits perfectly with a healthy dietary regime, especially as you become closer and more aware of your body and the affects poor dietary habits have. For more information on Nutrition and Yoga go to foodspa.org.uk
